  • For the purposes of these terms and conditions, and in general terms throughout the website where 'we'  and 'us' is mentioned it refers to Home Tweaks and where 'you'  is mentioned it refers to the customer.


    b. Website usage:

  • The content of the pages of this website is for your general information and use only and is subject to change without notice.

  • Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  • Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

  • This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions.

    c. Privacy policy:

  • Home Tweaks recognises that your privacy is very important to you and that it is your right to control your information. We know that providing such information is an act of trust and we take that trust seriously. Home Tweaks will never sell, rent or otherwise disclose any of your information, including email addresses, to any third party without your prior and explicit consent.

   d. Orders:

  • After you have placed your order you will receive an order acknowledgement email from us within 48 hours. Please note that this email is an acknowledgement and not acceptance of your order. 
  • Once payment terms have been agreed and / or payment has cleared, and we have determined the availability of stock we will arrange for the delivery of the goods to you as specified. We will then email you to let you know the expected date of delivery and confirm your order.
  • We reserve the right to decline all or part of any order for whatsoever reason and should this occur we will email you with these details.
  • It is recommended that you retain all emails relating to your order.

   e. Payment:

  • All prices and charges on this website are quoted in UK pounds in full. Delivery charges are shown separately and may vary depending upon the destination of the item. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible by email and give you an option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling the order.

   f. Cancellations:

  • In the event of an order cancellation - If you have not received the goods at the time of cancellation of the contract, and our suppliers have not processed the goods for delivery, we will credit your account for the goods in question including the delivery and in any event within 30 days of the cancellation being accepted by us.

  • All orders must be cancelled in writing via email. Please send cancellations to refunds@home-tweaks.co.uk . Orders can only be cancelled prior to despatch. Once the item has left the building the full delivery and return costs will be incurred.

   g. Delivery:

  • Deliveries are made by Kinetic Logistics.
  • If you are located within our supplier's normal delivery areas, and the item is in stock, we aim to have your items delivered within two weeks. Should your postcode fall outside our supplier's normal delivery area (postcodes are given on the website), delivery times may vary. We will be able to give you an approximation of delivery timescale before placing your order - simiply contact us at info@home-tweaks.co.uk. Please note that all deliveries are subject to the terms and conditions stated both here and on the Kinetic Logistics website (www.kineticlogistics.co.uk).
  • Delivery outside our normal areas may be subject to a surcharge. The surcharges are listed by postcode so that you have visibility of them whilst ordering on the website.
  • All deliveries are booked in by telephone 2-3 days in advance so that you know when to expect your consignment. Orders will only be scheduled for delivery if a delivery contact telephone number is supplied. If you do not provide a telephone number when you place the order we will contact you by email asking you to supply one. This may delay delivery.
  • Once a delivery has been booked, it is the customer's responsibility to make sure they are available, or have made the necessary arrangements to accept the product on the stated delivery date. In order to keep delivery costs low, our delivery company only make one attempt at delivery. If the customer is unable to accept the delivery on the first attempt, a second delivery charge will be levied at the full delivery rate.
  • Please note that our supplier's insurance policy only covers delivery to your door, and does not extend to moving furniture up steps or inside the property. As a result, although the drivers will be of assistance wherever possible, we cannot be held responsible for any damage caused. All deliveries are one-man deliveries, so please be aware that the driver may require assistance if access is difficult.
  • In order to keep delivery costs competitive, our delivery company may deliver items on a pallet, especially to outlying areas. Pallets are normally only delivered kerbside, so arrangements will need to be made to take the furniture indoors.
  • Whilst we make every effort to dispatch the products on time, we do not accept any liability for any failure to deliver on the stated date or at the stated time.
  • You will become the owner of the goods at the time of delivery, provided that we have received payment in full for the goods.

    h. Refunds:

  • We accept returns from our customers, providing that we are informed by email within 7 days of the item being delivered. Requests to return an item should be sent to refunds@home-tweaks.co.uk
  • The carriage costs relating to the return will be at the customers expense unless extenuating circumstances are agreed by Home Tweaks. We only ever chargeback 'cost' for returns (charges are outlined on the Delivery page), or alternatively, our customers can use their own designated carrier to return the item - but the customer must first notify Home Tweaks by email within the 7 day period and then wait for a confirmed delivery address to be given to them 
  • All return items must reselleable in 'as new' condition, therefore they must be in the original wrappings and unused and unassembled (if applicable). Please ensure that the person unwrapping the item is very careful to keep the packaging intact. This is also essential in preventing the item being damaged on its return. Responsibility for items damaged during return because of inadequate wrapping lies with the customer. We regret that under no circumstances can we accept returns that do no have their original packaging.

    i. Damages:

  • Nearly all damage occurs during transit. Please note that all items are signed for as proof of delivery. Please ensure that prior to signing, you check that the packaging is intact. We are unable to accept claims for damages where the item has been signed for as ‘packaging intact’.
  • Damages will be replaced free of charge, providing that you inform us via email within 7 days of the item being delivered to refunds@home-tweaks.co.uk
  • All damage claims must be supported by evidence in the form of digital photographs which you should email to us at refunds@home-tweaks.co.uk
  • Home Tweaks reserve their right to decide whether a damaged  item is replaced or refunded.

    j. Defective items:

  • In the highly unlikely event that an item is defective, you must inform us by email within 30 days. Claims for defective items must be supported by evidence in the form of digital photographs which you should email to us at refunds@home-tweaks.co.uk.
  • In this event, the item will be inspected by the supplier, and if it is defective and if it is, the Business Partner's account will be credited for the full value of that item, including carriage. If the item is deemed not to be defective, a full explanation will be provided by our supplier. We have the final say on whether an item is defective or not. The value of the credit issued to the Business Partner is at our discretion and each case will be considered on its own merit.
  • Taking into account the varying individual conditions to which the furniture could be subject once delivered, under no circumstances will we replace or refund items once 30 days has elapsed since delivery.
  • All return items must reselleable in 'as new' condition, therefore they must be in the original wrappings and unused and unassembled (if applicable). Please ensure that the person unwrapping the item is very careful to keep the packaging intact. This is also essential in preventing the item being damaged on its return.   • Home Tweaks reserve their right to decide whether a defective item is replaced or refunded

   k. Furniture designs and characteristics:

  • By placing an order with us, you are acknowledging the following:
  • That on occasion, we may alter the designs or sizes of pieces slightly. We cannot accept these as faults but you can return the item with all original carriage charges and collections costs being at the buyer’s expense. If the item is for a specific purpose please be sure to email ahead before ordering to check that there are no specific changes that could affect its material usage at info@home-tweaks.co.uk.  
  • The majority of our furniture is hand crafted, and as a consequence, all sizes are offered as a guide only. We reserve the right to change specifications without prior notice.
  • It is virtually impossible to accurately portray the actual colour of natural wood products or upholstery fabric in a web picture, due to differing screen resolutions, and natural variations from batch to batch. With regards to our wood furniture, we endeavour to give the best portrayal of colour, but we cannot accept colour or shade differences as evidence of defects. As a general rule, dark items look lighter in reality, and light items look darker in reality. A close match is more likely if two or more items are purchased at the same time because they will come from the same batch. In terms of upholstery fabric, we highly recommend that you contact us to obtain a sample prior to purchasing if an exact colour match is required. If you wish to return an item because of a shade difference or any other reason, we are willing to offer a refund as long as we are informed within 7 days. However, original carriage charges and collection costs will be at the customer's expense, and the returned item must be resellable as 'brand new' as per the terms stated in the section entitled  'Refunds'.

    l. Contractual capacity:

  • In order to be eligible to enter into a contract with us to purchase goods you must:
  • a. Provide us with all the information we need to be able to proceed with your order including, but not limited to; payment method, delivery address, delivery telephone number, and contact email address.
  • b. Inform us of any circumstances that may interfere with our ability to fulfil your order, for example, delivery access issues.
  • c. Be over the age of 18.

    m. Cancellation by us:

  • We reserve the right not to accept any order request if:
  • a. Any of the terms in section 10 are contravened.
  • b. We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered
  • c. We are unable to deliver to the delivery address on the order because it is not within our network coverage
  • d. One or more of the goods ordered was incorrectly described or priced on the website;
  • e. The payment transaction is not authorised
  • f. If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will refund to you any sum paid by you to us in respect of the contract as soon as possible, and in any event within 30 days of the cancellation of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.


    n. Unforeseen circumstances:

  • While every effort is made to meet our customers demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of an Act of God, war, strike, lockout, labour dispute, fire, flood, drought, or other causes beyond our reasonable control.


   o. Complaints:

  • If you have a complaint or a particular remark to make please do not hesitate to contact us immediately by facsimile, telephone or e-mail, the details of which are contained under the “Contact Us” page
  • Any complaint will be dealt with fairly, effectively and confidentially. You will receive a formal written response from us within 10 days. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
